Think back to when you were in high school and faced with the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” An intimidating question at 16, 17, or 18 years old. At that age, many students have only been exposed to a few career choices. As a result, they may select a career that isn’t a fit or spend a lot of time (and money) taking college or training courses only to find out they are unhappy with their choice.
In an effort to help prep students for future career decisions, the Kent ISD has developed Groundhog Shadow Day. This program is intended to help students find professional mentors who are able to offer career guidance through hosting a job shadow day in the workplace. The goal is to offer students an authentic glimpse at a “day in the life” of a working professional in the career of their choice.
The C2 Group is delighted to partner with the Kent ISD this Monday to host on site several students interested in technology careers. These students will work closely with our developers, UX architects, and designers while getting hands on experience with programming and observing the daily operations of a design and development company.
Just another way The C2 Group loves to give back to our community.
