Optimizely (Episerver) Release Notes - December & January 2021

Highlights include repeat orders and extended notes within Order Management, inline Block CMS enhancements, and optimizations to Search & Navigation.

Episerver’s (Optimizely) continuous release cycle provides new features and bug fixes on a bi-weekly cadence. Every other month, C2 will aggregate and highlight some of the bigger updates to Optimizely software. Commerce Updates

CSR repeat past order

Fixed in: EPiServer.Commerce13.27.0 [ID: COM-12415]

This new feature within the CSR interface will be a big time-saver for your customer service team. A CSR can now utilize past order information to quickly create anew order for a customer.

Add, update, delete, and view notes for orders, carts, and subscriptions

These new Order Management features allow for the creation of notes associated with a specific order, cart or subscription. With this update, you can empower your customer service representatives to add, edit or delete notes under the new Notes tab.It will also provide them with a clear history of an order, cart or subscription over multiple customer interactions when managing orders.

Create Subscription Report

Fixed in: EPiServer.Commerce13.28.0 [ID: COM-12417]

With this new report enhancement, your team can now export subscription data to create subscription reports. The report data is exported in the same formats as the order data is now exported (xlsx, csv).

ImplementTelemetry for CSR

Fixed in: EPiServer.Commerce13.27.0 [ID: COM-12302]

The CSR interface within Episerver Commerce has implemented Telemetry functions. The purpose behind this data collection functionality is to assist Episerver in better understanding their users with the goal of delivering the best user experience possible and prioritizing feature work. The data collected is completely anonymized and will only be used internally in this decision-making process around user experience and feature development.

Content Management Updates

Move Inline Block Editing to CMS UI

Fixed in: EPiServer.CMS.UI11.32.0 [ID: CMS-16631]

With this update Episerver has moved the Block Inline Edit feature from the BlockEnhancements Add-on to the Episerver UI. This new feature adds an option for QuickEdit from the blocks content menu. CMS Editors can now publish the block, mark the block as Ready to Publish, or send the block to review. Search & Navigation Updates

Episerver Find is now Episerver Search & Navigation

It’s official! The product name for “Episerver Find” has officially change to“Episerver Search & Navigation.” This is to provide greater clarity and alignment to the product name and its purpose.

Episerver Search & Navigation enhances click tracking

Fixed in: Episerver.Find13.2.11 [ID: FIND-8645]

These latest enhancements to Search & Navigation (formerly Episerver Find) center around simplifying and improving click tracking. With these changes, the Episerver team focuses on improving the accuracy of the tracking statistics, making this feature an even more valuable marketing tool.
